WickedRocks, I am sorta confused about your post.
You said:
"Okay...what the hell? I'm sure even the biggest MEMPHIS/Kimball fans would say this is a ridiculous thing to say. His performance and star power rival that of Yul Brenner in THE KING AND I and Robert Preston in THE MUSIC MAN? What performance did he see...? And his book scenes are worthy of Brando comparisons? Seriously? I mean...what the hell?"
Listen, I am by far not the biggest MEMPHIS/Chad Kimball fan in the world, but

I saw MEMPHIS at La Jolla playhouse and from what I hear, Chad Kimball never missed a performance - and not in Seattle either. I only know this because a friend of my friend is his understudy and he never went on so I am doubting his voice will blow out anytime soon. I can't seem to find a clip on here of his performance at Broadway on Broadway but if he sang "Memphis Lives in Me" I find it unbelievable that he sounded terrible? His performance in that show was amazing in La Jolla, and I am so

wow, i didn't think so at all. i mean, he is playing an "Over the Top" and larger than life character....i don't think there would be another way to play it. i think he truly is feeling the character and i believe his performance is 100% truthful. I thought montego was excellent vocally, but i didn't really feel that her acting was 100% truthful. chad kimball's performance had me in tears probably 5 times throughout that show. i never cried for her - except at the end of act one, but it was chad
MEMPHIS at La Jolla Playhouse - this weekend review

WOW! I just got back from seeing MEMPHIS at La Jolla Playhouse, and you need to run - not walk - or actually drive .... realllly fast to see this show ASAP. It is amazing! One of the best shows I've seen in the past few years. I don't usually do the whole review thing - but I felt like it was imperative for me to get the word out about this amazing show, not to mention it's amazingly talented cast.
I'm gonna start off by mentioning the most incredibly talented performer I've ever seen, and
