Take Me Out
 Jan 20 2006, 05:05:58 PM
Anyone have the translation for the Spanish and/or Japanese dialogue in "Take Me Out"? Anyone know where I can find them?

I was reading up on copyrights and understand the process. What I'm confused about is, how do I protect my work BEFORE we start collaborating? Can you copyright a work in progress? What happens when you make changes? I just don't want red tape to get in the way of this musical happening. Thanks for your help!
Writer's question
 Sep 28 2004, 03:14:54 PM
Any writers out there? I'm writing a book for an original musical and just found a composer. Thing is that I don't know this person that well and am a little paranoid. Anyone know anything about copyrighting a work in progress...what happens when you make changes, etc. Any input would be appreciated.

She was running late and he was trying to get her into the stage door. He was sweet though, very protective.

Jennifer Laura Thompson was really sweet and even more gracious. Did get the sweetest brush off ever from Taye Diggs.

Well, when you put it that way! Way to put up a fight, Matt.

I just hope the film is done well. I don't expect it to compare in the least to the show but I just hope they don't cremate the premise or the passion behind Rent. As for fame...is it all it's cracked up to be? I liked what Fredi said about Jonathan missing the commercialism that came with even the Broadway transfer and the "rage".

I read somewhere that Idina was a singer in the movie but I couldn't make her out *gasp*. As a film...no. As broadway 101.. not bad. I did go buy DreamGirls after I saw it. Loved when the jerk composer went off about Times Square and waiter jobs though...liked the contrast.

As far as Rent closing, it appeared to be sold out when I saw it on 8/7. The cast was really good...minus Mel's strained vocals. But I heard that Tonya's voice is giving out as well and Daphne's was strained by the end...these recording artists just don't seem to have quite the stamina as the pros. And as far as big names...Jai made a great Angel. Not a fan of Joey's peformance or the whole boyband thing but I'm sure Broadway has some standards beyond a name (I mean who knows Joey from anyth

Although I didn't see Kristin, Jennifer was an incredible Glinda. It was an awfully big bubble to fill but she pulled it off. There were a couple of moments where she had Idina laughing so hard, she had to struggle to recover. She was my aunt's favorite part of Wicked. She was also really sweet and gracious when I met her before her 8/6 show.
