Billy Elliot Cast
 Jun 3 2011, 04:27:16 AM
In June last year Billy Elliot in London was down to one Billy. Ollie Gardner performed 6 times that week and to give him a break they brought Fox Jackson-Keen in to perform the Saturday matinee show and he had left the show 2 months previously. For the Saturday evening show they had Aaron Watson as stand-by and he had not even started then.

Well you can knock Umbrellas of Cherbourg off your list as it is closing on May 21st instead of its previously announced date of October 1st.

A group of us saw David on his debut and we actually commented on this. Every time I saw David he never took the bag.

I have to agree with Geridith. I have been fortunate to see 16 boys play Billy. Whilst it is always sad when I see one leave the show it is also exciting to see the new Billys taking the first step on their wonderful journey.

Wonderful pictures. They must have changed the caption as it says sister now. It also says Keean Johnson when in fact it's one of the Small Boys.

None of the casts' accents are quite right. If they were nobody would understand a word they were saying. The North East of England accent is difficult for the English to understand so, not wishing to sound disrespctful, Americans wouldn't have a clue what they were saying. For that reason all the accents have been softened.

Was there no announcement before the show started? For Tanner Pflueger's last night, in London on Sept 26th, Stephen Daldry came on stage before the start and gave a very emotional speech about Tanner and explained that it was his farewell show.

"Linda, its time to start that "bring home Tanner" petition."

Tanner's leaving date has just been confirmed in London as September 26th so now would be a good time to get that petition going :)

I agree Fosse76. It certainly hasn't been the case in London so I don't see any reason why it should be in New York.

I also notice that mybigsplash didn't mention Tommy who has, in my opinion, the same talent and years of experience as the other three.

"Ooh bring back Tanner!"

You leave Tanner where he is. I'm in London in a couple of weeks and he better be there too.
