re: Kerry Ellis in 'Wicked' Dec 18

Guys, quit bashing Kerry. I think she's already proved herself more than a million times over in the west end. She just needed some time to adjust to broadway, the feel of the two theaters are probably quite different. Not to mention, she's working with an entirely different cast and everything has a different feel to it. She did a phenomenal job on broadway and now she's back in London for her final run of wicked. I highly doubt many people could do the show for two and a half years and if you

out of curiosity, why do you say that?

lol, well, you have to remember, nothing ever goes perfectly in a show. usually, something minor goes wrong and the performer has to improv or change something slightly to get through it. that's what keeps it alive, and you always have to be on your toes in case something like that happens.

re: Has There Ever Been a Non-Lip-Synced Performance at Macy's? Nov 29

no, it's impossible to do. even in partially enclosed spaces like a baseball stadium, it's impossible. how do i know? i've performed at many professional baseball games before, and you have to record it before hand because there is no way you can sing it live. the actual track and live vocals would be completely off, and it is near impossible to make it go in sync. now, imagine trying to do that during an event like the macy's day parade. it's impossible to do, hence why all the perform

i would have to say wicked. before you start commenting, her me out: yes, i know that there have been 'better' g(a)lindas, fiyeros and elphabas, but none of them had the same chemistry, ease, and vocal blend as these three. try listening to the original cast recording of defying gravity and you'll see what i mean. their voices blend so well, it's incredible.

she's incredible, to be able to sing like that right after such a scare? and she's afraid of heights too, which makes it that much worse. but she comes back and kicks serious ass. and there were some people laughing when the whole thing stopped, that just ticked me off. i mean, come one, someone almost gets hurt on stage and all you do is laugh? for heaven's sake, show some sense.
