Country is Changing
 Mar 18 2025, 01:40:14 PM

I want to make this very clear. I do not blame Kolton one little bit for wanting to forego bows for their safety. The fact that transphobia is so rampant in this country makes the fact that they feel they have to take this step (which I believe is a proactive one) is heartbreaking on multiple levels.

That being said, I do not believe that Kolton has been being booed during bows. This is not because of some sort of personal vendetta, or wanting to victim blame, or anything like that

Tony race for Best New Musical
 Mar 3 2025, 03:55:59 PM

I've been thinking for months that it would be a two-horse race between Maybe Happy Ending and Dead Outlaw. But with the positive buzz I'm hearing for Operation Mincemeat, that two-horse race may soon become a three-horse race.

I think the nominees will be:
Buena Vista Social Club
Dead Outlaw
Death Becomes Her
Maybe Happy Ending

Operation Mincemeat

Donald Trump Takes Over the Kennedy Center
 Feb 7 2025, 06:17:52 PM

We just couldn't elect Kamala. After all, she didn't wave a wand and magically eradicate Covid or end all conflict in Gaza.

(and no, I will never allow anyone who stayed home or voted third party for that reason a second of peace)

I never thought someone would make me miss Riedel, but Sweaty Nutsack achieves that.

Zachery Levi says Gavin Creel died of COVID vaccine

That was a completely irrational and misguided fear. Donald Trump was not in the lab developing the vaccine, and was in no position to profit off the vaccine in any way. Anyone wh

Jay Lerner-Z said: "Sad. Such a shame that idiots like him are allowed to vote."

Yeah...HARD disagree on this.

I think what Levi said about Gavin Creel/vaccines was absolutely repugnant, and he should be absolutely dragged through the mud for it. But implying that he shouldn't be allowed to vote? No. Every citizen of this country should be allowed to vote (and, indeed, should vote), regardless of whether or not we

Stage door age limits

Like, if you are acting like an entitled jerk and/or are taking space along the barricades with non-show stuff you’re looking to sign and sell (like that one heavyset guy with glasses I see everywhere carrying bags of posters and such), THEN I think you need to step off…"

I have seen this guy at at least three stage doors in

Gotta love waiting until it's too late for people to pivot and see a different show. 🙄

Free Government Covid-19 Test Kits
 Sep 24 2024, 06:27:15 PM

I think the reason the pile-on was what it was, is because the post from RUkiddingme read as unnecessarily snarky, given the serious nature of the subject. If they had just asked "Shouldn't this be in the off-topic boards," without the edginess, the reception may have been less cold.

I'm hoping the presumptive Democratic nominee for President makes an appearance at Suffs sometime between now and the election. That would surely get it some publicity.

I think there are two reasons for that.

1. Because the grosses are fairly unremarkable this week. Nothing stood out, or made me even go "Hmm." Which isn't shocking in the middle of July.

2. Because lately the grosses threads have been following an unfortunate pattern of Flash saying something asinine (usually involving The Great Gatsby), people being outraged by it for half a page, and by the time that's over, it's either late Wed

TERF - Joshua Kaplan-penned play about JK Rowling to premiere at Edinburgh Fringe

I read through that multiple times, and still have no idea what he's talking about. It reminded me of a stream of consciousness activity I did in acting class in college.

Mary Jane extends for second time on Broadway
 Jun 27 2024, 04:46:22 PM

Happy she's gonna be in the show tonight, but even happier that she's feeling better!

I ended up getting a ticket for The Notebook, which isn't a Mary show, but a MaryANN (Plunkett) show.
