I never ever thought I'd say this, but Norbert does not look hott at all.

re: Who DESERVES a jukebox musical?

I actually had this idea a few weeks ago, but I was thinking they make something like New Jersey: The Musical and all the songs are from famous singers from Jersey.

I'd see it. :)

re: A Plea Should 'Hunchback' Be Headed To Broadway
 Jul 2 2009, 11:31:13 PM
I'd LOVE to see Hunchback play on broadway!

But with the problems concerning the ending, I feel that changing the ending would please the mass audiences that attend Disney shows (tourists and children), but piss off the more savvy theatre audience.

But if they wind up keeping the ending, audiences would throw out that notion that all Disney shows must end in an upbeat and happy way.

I'm so torn!

The first name that came to mind was Roger Bart.
Hank Azaria sounds like a good idea too!

the "Susan Lucci of Broadway" as Hunter Bell called her, Kelli O'Hara.
Raul Esparza.
Victor Garber.
Gavin Creel.
Will Swenson (I personally think he and Greg Jbara should have tied for Best Feautured Actor)

Cats.
I saw it 7 or 8 years ago, and I still don't get it.

re: Okay, whats the greatest performance you've ever seen on stage?
 Jun 17 2009, 09:22:37 AM
Musical: John Selya in Movin' Out
(Well, it's not technically a musical, but it was nominated for Best Musical, so it counts!) He's onstage a lot, and he dances his face off, and towards the end of the show, which is pretty long, when you can infer that he is tired, he dances even harder, and better. He conveys emotion like no other, his technique is beautiful and he has so much energy throughout. He is just fantastic.

Play: Kevin Kline in Cyrano.
Just amazing. That's all I ca

John Gallaher Jr.
Gerard Canico (check spelling on that last name)

the list could go on for awhile...so I'll leave it at that for now.

re: Photo Coverage: Chelsea Morgan Stock and Drew Seeley Take Their Bows in
 Jun 11 2009, 11:00:23 AM
Janki, I totally agree!!!
While Sierra and Sean were good, Sierra looked maybe 17 or 18, and Sean looked like 20-ish.
Chelsea and Drew look very youthful.

Drew's bangs are quite wierd looking, but he is looking daper in that suit!

re: Grade the 63rd Annual Tony telecast performances!

Opening Number: C- (Didn't like it. It seemed a little sloppy and all over the place)

Billy Elliot: B (Trent was great, I just would have picked a different number)

Guy and Dolls: B (It would have been a C, but Titus is amazing, and even with mic problems, he still rocked it out, so did Mary)

Hair: A++++++ (Loved, loved, loved, loved it!)

Legally Blonde: C (I wanted to see a different number. I like "So Much Better", but I wanted to see something different)

re: DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS: The Movie Musical

I totally dig the idea of Kevin Kline!
But I loved John Lithgow, and I've always been partial to NLB as Freddie.

Annelise Van der Pol would make a cute Christine in my opinion.

Glee.
I got chills listening to it when it was on TV (corny, I know!)

re: Misheard Lyrics That Have Left You Puzzled

The first time I heard "I Know It's Today", when Fiona says "And I'm a vandal now as well" I thought she said "And I'm manhandler as well".

Also, in "Memory" when she sings "Every streetlamp seems to beat a fatalistic warning" I thought she said "Every streetlamp seems to be a fatal agnostic warning".

And the first time when I heard "Money Money" by David Bowie when I was younger, when they said "money money" I swore they were saying something along the lines of "Petrotonic", w

re: If your Favorite Television Show was a Musical, who would you Cast?
 May 23 2009, 08:19:24 PM
How I Met Your Mother:

Ted: I have a few in mind: Steven Pasquale, David Ayers, Sebastian Arcelus, and Matt Morrison (the first person that came to mind)
Marshall: Also have a few in mindL Will Chase, Billy Crudup or Max von Essen.
Lily: Laura Benanti
Robin: Sutton Foster
Barney: Neil Patrick Harris (obviously) or someone like Curtis Holbrook...a good looking blonde with some appeal is what I'm going for...

re: Worst show YOU HAVE BEEN IN?
 May 12 2009, 05:21:52 PM
When I was 14, I did Into the Woods, at a local theatre. The cast was between the ages 6-15. It basically sucked. The sets, costumes, direction, etc were all just very terrible.

But my part basically was during "intermission", I took part in this dance number consisting of little girls dressed as birds, gnomes, butterflies and Little Red and the Wolf were in it IN costume.
I was a gnome. Oh and the song was from Footloose.

I kid you not.
Basically, I was mortifyed to e

Whew, I got a little choked up looking at that.

Those were all lovely pictures, and I'm sure that if they show something like that at the Tonys, there will not be a dry eye in the room.

I also feel the same way as esparza 333 and broadwaybound062.
Parent Trap was my favorite movie growing up, and all I wanted to be when I grew up was Natasha.

I love jukebox musicals.

Chita Rivera is a great dancer, but I only wish her singing amazed me as much as her dancing...

I watched and loved Grease: Your The One That I Want religiously (the tv show) and I voted for Max and Laura. (Never saw it on Broadway, but knew it wasn't a masterpiece by any means)
