i was just on the duplex's offical website and the one host brandon's name is actually spelled cutrell. though from what I've seen it should be spelled CUTE-rell. Mmm...hmmm. It also says no cover, and no minimum (which is nice cuz there's always that two drink minimum downstairs- gets me thinking about my friends in the program- I suppose they can have two coffees-ha)

OH MAMA the singers at SF were pretty amazing and everyone was very friendly and welcoming when I got up to sing. The atmosphere is just completely charming and cozy. I completely agree that them having the Sondheim books on-hand makes everything just that much more enjoyable so you don't have to worry about lugging your music around with you everywhere. You think you know sondheim until you hear a whole night dedicated to him and hear some of the most obscure sondheim songs. And plenty of the
