I believe the best musical would have to be Wicked or Spring Awakening(tour cast)! Rent was ok but I wouldnt say its the best! The musicals on broadway right now are good but I have not seen them all yet in tour.

I agree that replacements should be recorded because the first time people see the show, they love the voices! If I wanted to choose a album, it would be Spring Awakening! The tour cast though. The tour cast is better than the original cast in my perspective.

I have watched many videos on the internet on closing nights. Most of them have speeches at the end. Some of them reprise some roles at the end. They add in special things the actors think of. Most of the fun stuff that happens in the show is it becomes longer because everyone cheers and claps after every funny moment and song. The difference between a last show for an actor, they might make a difference to make the show memorable. An example would be kristin chenoweth adding something to popula
