Why not sign up for broadwaybox.com - it's free...
You can get the discounts free on their site..and sign up for free to get their codes by e-mail.
And the discounts are really good, I use them all the time.
No need to pay.

I saw A Little Night Music and loved it. And I also got my tickets on Broadwaybox. Definitely recommend them and use them often.
Haven't seen Promises, Promises yet but it is definitely up there on my list. I love Kristin Chenowith and was sooooooooo lucky to have seen her in Wicked. I think she truly deserves all the fame that is coming her way now.
Hope you have a great time in New York!

re: OT: Question regaurding discounts on 'broadwaybox'
Well, from my experience using broadwaybox - and discount codes in general- I think that if you just wait a while a discount might pop up as the dates get closer.
Also, try writing them, maybe they have a discount that is not yet on the site, they usually answer pretty quick. I tried that with the tickets I bought in august, which is also a pretty peak time, and they sent me some codes that hadn't been uploaded yet.
I wouldn't give up yet - you could get some pretty big savings. Lik

re: The most times you've ever seen a show
People, its not quantity that matters, it's quality!!!!!
but just in case:
Les Mis 5
Phantom 4
Hairspray 3
Sunset Boulevard 2 (an oldie)
Showboat 2 (also an oldie - and a long one at that!)
Also a hypothetical - do shows you've walked out of at intermission count as half?
