Saw this last night and wanted to add something no one has touched on in this thread: the misogyny. First we got the lyric "Mama's in the ground" in the opening song, sung joyously. Weird, I thought: the lead is expressing glee that his mother is buried in the dirt, while he's singing, presumably, a love song about another woman. Did anyone else find it annoying that one couple or another was kissing every 3 or 4 minutes throughout the show?

Just curious! Someone said it's only going to be done in San Diego this year but no sure why it wouldn't come to B'way. Anyone heard?
