What kind of seats do box offices typically give away for Rush?

debating on whether just to buy cheap $79 tickets and guarantee my seat (albeit to the side or back of theather) or stand in line for rush if the ticket is really good!

New to this whole Rushing thing and previous topics have been very informative!

One thing I haven't seen answered is rushing as a "group:"

We are a family of 5 (3 kids) and visit NY next week for about 5 days - plan to rush School of Rock and Play that Goes wrong.
