spring awakening online auditions

There have probably been a lot of questions about this subject already but I'm a new member, forgive me. I recently went on the site for spring awakening and saw that there were online auditions, they said they were looking for anyone who could believably play ages 16-18. I also saw there was an open call in NY. This said anyone ages 16-21, I am fourteen and when people meet me they say I look 16-17. I'm a bit confused as to if I'm allowed to go or not, can anyone help explain this to me?
