I get a huge kick out of the interview videos of her that are available online, most of which are relatively recent (last 10 years or so). Her whole attitude about life, her career, and various other subjects is inspiring and fascinating. I don't know how much of the gossip I've read (re: her "antics" in the past, for lack of a better word) was true. I'm inclined to believe a good deal of it is exaggerated, but I could be wrong. That is a good point about her social media. I get the sense that she has mellowed out over the years, on some levels, but she's not at all shy on social media about her politics. I wanted to add that during the Saturday Joe's Pub performance, she was quite funny. She cracked a joke and then sort of half-seriously said she was working on her delivery, because she knows she's never been a comedienne and she wants to find the humor in Dolly (I am paraphrasin

I saw the Saturday show and she was really great! First time seeing her live so I have no basis of comparison - and I have no idea what your yardstick for "thrilling" is, regarding past performances - but there were definitely some truly thrilling moments during the show I saw. The vibe in the audience was great. I also didn't have a problem with her song choices. I love that she's so into rock... she does Steely Dan and Joni Mitchell justice.

Dude it's 2018 and gay marriage is legal in the United States of America. I knew I should have stopped reading after that, because the rest was one of the dumbest things I've read tonight, and I've read a lot of dumb things.

I guess I am having a hard time understanding where the idea comes from that Betty Buckley can't be "warm". It really surprises me people can say that about this performer. To be fair, I have never seen her in live theater, so that may disqualify my opinion right off the ba
