AMDA Audition Questions?

Listen... I’m fairly new to Broadway World and even I know about how most people on this board dislike AMDA.. but I’m auditioning for them next week, mostly as a backup school. I’ve heard that they have an interview section and that they may even ask me questions during my audition... anyone know any of these question? How should I prepare? Do they like certain answers or attitudes or what? Thanks everyone!

My director hates older kids playing children... so nothing like Annie. But yes, I agree les mis is definitely up there. Probably not State Fair... my director hates small town feel shows. Legally blonde could be a possibility as well, though! Any other ideas?

Our program is primarily Caucasian, and we aren’t allowed to do very edgy shows - our last Show was a fairytale and before that was Oklahoma. Our shows are also usually pretty well known - see previous, Cinderella and Oklahoma. Is that any help?

Hi everyone! I’m trying to figure out the musical my school director has picked for next year. He’s told me it requires about 20 strong females and 17 males. I don’t knoe if this includes ensemble but I assume it does? It’s also supposed to be pretty hard for a high school and would require most cast members to be at rehearsal every day. If you have any ideas let me know! Thanks!!
