War Horse
War Horse is terrific theater -- make no mistake about that. But to my mind, it fell short of what it might have been, because it tried to do too much. The best and most memorable aspect of the show is how Joey (and to a much lesser extent Topthorn) are brought to life. It's innovative, smart, and never becomes ludicrous.
