'Rent,' Joyce DeWitt, dinner theater, Nashville = oddness brewing
I couldn't help myself. I had to go see this show. No Joyce Dewitt in sight. I will say this though, the show is excellent. I know that's not what ya'll want to hear, but it's really good. So here's the horse's mouth report: It did need more cutting, but for time, not content. It's too long for dinner theatre. I didn't find it very different from when the "Broadway" tour came through Nashville. And the quality was just as good. The guy playing Mark was too old, yes. But it's community theatre...
