Saw it in SF on Friday.1st act is a little slow at times but really enjoyed. Dorothy is amazing and will be a big star.Loved the Lion and Wiz, though it is a smaller role.Tin Man has great song in 2nd half. 2nd act is amazing. Worth seeing. don't know how it will do on Broadway but at least a 6 month run.

Very excited for this and just bought Tickets for San Francisco Pre Broadway engagement that will have full Broadway cast with Wayne Brady stepping in as the Wizard!

If Analeigh Ashford had won the Tony (which in my opinion she should have) I could see this continuing but think it is probably tough sledding to try to carry this show through the winter and think it will close.Feel good it didn't win any Tony's as it has kept the prices fairly reasonable. Really enjoyed it.

Having seen the original and this I agree but come on Angela Lansbury is one of the top 5 actresses of all time. I think this 2023 version is very serviceable. I had seen the original back in 1979 Summer, 2001 SF Symphony Concert with Lupone/Hearn and 2005 Broadway Revival.I saw the show 4/1 Evening. Sat in Mid Mezz C 117 (in line with stairs so that was good for viewing) but would not sit higher than Row C.I really liked the production. The Musicality of Groban and Ashford makes the score so lush and melodic.the only number that was hard to decipher was Ashford on God that's Good. Been lurking all the Sweeney Post's and am intrigued. I will be seeing the production on April 1.I saw the original at the Uris and was amazed. I saw the revival 2005 and liked it but did not love it.I saw the SF Symphony concert with (Lupone/Hearn) and really enjoyed it. I will come back for a review after seeing it.
