May 3 is the earliest it can close. They have to tell the company before the first performance of the week they close, otherwise they're on the hook for full week's salary regardless. So won't close 4/26."
Not true. They can announce it anytime. The cast gets 2 weeks pay regardless, that’s why they have a bond with Equity. When Glory days closed

But people in the production have been told to start looking for next contracts, they won't be open in May."
It has happened. Glory days. Maybe beaches will close at the end of the week after opening?
Glory Days closed on May 6, 2

Rumor going around is that the cast got told they might close right after opening. Apparently they are looking for money to keep the show open, the lack of advance sales has the show in panic mode.

The 3 friends I know who work in Broadway shows and don’t live in Manhattan and are working today already made housing arrangements in the city in case everything shuts down. I’m sure many others

Chelsea James as Dance Captain. Isn't that usually David Bushman? Does that mean he's out?"

I have confirmation that several of the folk getting let go are on “run show” contracts. Hence AEA is involved. They indeed got fired

Death Becomes Her - Non-Union Tour BS Oct 30 2025, 09:06:34 AM
macbeth said: "What a feckless union Equity is to let a hit new Broadway show that's had steady grosses and (awesome cast) no big stars to fill the house. ie: the perfect touring show, right?
Nope, a Level 5 touring contract.
https://playbill.com/job/death-becomes-her-orlando-auditions/39d75640-8077-444f-8c2b-ed50b4b3dd9b"
The tour is gonna be Equity, the salary range is from Touring agreement and Full production because they are casting future replacements for both the tour and Broadway. Is listed as Non Union cause is an open call not an equity call
