From an artistic point of view, I don't think it would be ok to take pictures during the actual performance (especially not using flash), but I don't see how it could be annoying for the actors to have some pictures taken during the finale. At the stage door, it is almost expected, right? Speaking of that, I'd like to see more pictures of the rest of the cast!!!

So, I'm a musical nerd... I loved Les Mis the first time I saw it, and I loved Miss Saigon. I have never seen the Phantom of the Opera (so hit me someone). In fact, the only ALW musical I've ever seen was Whistle Down the Wind a few years ago. So, ok, maybe I can't call myself a musical nerd, but I still enjoy the odd musical. Billy Elliot is funny and sad and well done and you can tell it is created out of love for the genre. It gives you hope for the whole concept of stage musicals.

I've understood that other children are also living in the Billy Elliot House. Does anyone know more about this? Also, how come then that the house is known as the Billy Elliot House?

If there was anything in the script that you could change, what would it be? (Also, feel free to elaborate on what you would absolutely keep and why.)

I feel that a mixed CD has it's upsides. For example, many people who would not be able to afford 3 CD's could this way get to hear something of what all three original Billys were like. Then again, to musical buffs, the shows are so different that they each merit a recording. A mix would, to my ears, be more like a highlights CD, which, I believe, is not the intention. Also, a mix might be confusing if you listen to it without having seen the show. A DVD with special material would be awesom...

To the boys who will audition for Billy and Michael tomorrow! Show those casting people what you've got and shock and impress them with your skills and talents!!! And most of all - have fun!

From what I understand, the Cast Recording will be available at the theatre from the 24th unless it is postponed further.

In fact, yes. Right away when the letter was published on the www.billyelliotfans.com fansite and here as well, mails started dropping in from supportive people. I am still waiting to see if it will have any other effect, as I believe many people with me think what I described in the open letter is quite unjust and should be corrected.
