how about accepting the fact that at a SCREENING people are OBVIOUSLY going to react like that.

I think that you're being a jerk.
If someone is passionate about something, they're obviously going to be wicked excited. I mean, think about something that is SO important to you, that you absolutely LOVE. You would react the same way.
At least these people aren't out smoking crack on the NYC street corners. They're passionate about something awesome, and you should respect that.
And you should also expect these kind of reactions from "rentheads"
