Saw the show on New Years Eve

Allow me to preface this by saying I was expecting a lot. I am a huge Anne Rice (particularly Vampire Chronicles) fan. I've read all of the books, and at times am totally obsessed. Nothing excited me more than to hear that there was a musical.
Then I was very disappointed, as was my friend who came to the show with me. As was everyone around us (including a few people who got up and left the show). It wasn't exactly terrible, but I felt my friend put it best: "The actors didn't ev
