I consider Miss Hannigan a 'lush' not a drunk-the type that drinks sherry out of a tea cup to hide her 'minor addiction'.To see her swigging from a hip flask is offensive and VERY unfunny.Her performance is one of disappointment and how did I end up here.Ms Loudon could make you WANT to become an orphan just to watch her every day.

We must have much stricter theatre 'rules' here in Australia.We are told before the show starts to turn off phones etc.There would be no way that texting would be allowed in the theatre.It is rare for someone to talk or 'sing-a-long'--they would be speedly sushed[?]or removed.[I was an usher for years].This comment might cause a response but I have noted that even though Australians are mostly receptive to theatre,they let the performers perform, where I have found,generally,that American aud...

Totally unrelated to Pippin [ I think] but when Betty Buckley was in London at least 20 years ago doing [whatever] a friend of a friend[of mine] was a London real estate agent who had rented a house to Ms Buckley for a year-after a month,she said the place was haunted,couldn't live there, so they[whoever hired her] had to find another place for her and her parrot[budgie--whatever] and pay rent on the both.Trivia--don't you LOVE it !
