STEEPLECHASE

STEEPLECHASE is a new musical written by John Pielmeier and composed by Matty Selman. Inspired by Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream, it is a musical extravaganza
designed to be done on an unextravagant budget.
It unfolds in George C. Tilyou’s Steeplechase Amusement Park in the Coney Island of 1935.
Two pairs of unrequited lovers, Petey and Marie, and Freddie and Fanny, elope to the park on the eve of July the Fourth.
There, they encounter the park manager,

A new staged reading of NIGEL JACKSON’S TAKING LEAVE is scheduled for TUESDAY, MAY 28 at 4pm at the Playroom Theatre, 151 West 46th Street, 8th Floor.
The event will star Obie Award winning and Tony nominated DANIEL DAVIS; Broadway stars BYRON JENNINGS (Arcadia, the Merchant of Venice, Inherit the Wind), CAROLYN McCORMICK (last seen in the Bway revival of Equus) and feature PATRICIA RANDELL, KATHY HILER, JULIA MOTYKA.
