Sounds amazing.
What the heck are you talking about?
The old amusement park @ Coney Island?
A horserace?

STEEPLECHASE is a new musical written by John Pielmeier and composed by Matty Selman. Inspired by Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream, it is a musical extravaganza
designed to be done on an unextravagant budget.
It unfolds in George C. Tilyou’s Steeplechase Amusement Park in the Coney Island of 1935.
Two pairs of unrequited lovers, Petey and Marie, and Freddie and Fanny, elope to the park on the eve of July the Fourth.
There, they encounter the park manager, George,
and his girlfriend Lila, in a roller coaster relationship;
a group of employees, all a bit zany; a magic hot dog, a mysterious gypsy and the World’s Tallest Little Person.
Sound familiar?
Before dawn, each must take a whirl on the Human Roulette Wheel to unravel mismatched affections and find their true love at the Blowhole Theatre…. or forever remain stuck on the Loop de Loop!
Sound familiar?
Not really, but it certainly sounds very...precious.
