I saw A Kid Like Jake last night and thought it was absolutely fantastic -- so smart, so well-written, and so well acted (especially from Carla Gugino). Anyone else here see it?

I absolutely loved it, and think you should try to catch it before it closes this weekend. As I wrote in a blog post today, I'm reading Patti Smith's JUST KIDS right now and found they really spoke to each other.

Saw the show last night...I thought it was a case of style over substance. Talented performers, lots of potential there, but ultimately left me cold. Brantley and David Cote were both there last night, as was Michael Friedman.

Thought I would add my review of the show to this post... Last night my partner and a friend of ours spent the evening dancing with Imelda Marcos and about 200 other strangers at The Public Theater’s Here Lies Love, and unlike many others from her time as the First Lady of the Philippines, we lived to tell the tale. Well, color me pleasantly surprised. And cautiously optimistic. I've been looking forward to the film adaptation of Tracy Letts' Pulitzer Prize-winning play August Osage County since the moment it was announced. Having seen the show twice on Broadway, I was blown away by it's depth, power and surprising comedy.
