"Beguiled Again" vocal range
 Jan 25 2008, 06:57:21 AM
Greetings all,

Subject says it all. Got asked to be in "Beguiled Again" and I need to know what the vocal range is for the baritone parts in the show. Anybody done the show, know off the top of their head, or know where else I can find out?

Thanks!

Major props to Rebecca Luker

Had a wonderful experience recently and wanted to share. I am a vocal student at Ars Nova school for the Arts in Huntsville, AL. (Ars Nova has helped produce two incredible singers in Angela Brown and Susanna Phillips). We recently produced a concert version of Carousel and Ms. Luker, having ties to the area, agreed to take the weekend off from Mary Poppins to come down and sing the role of Julie for us. I played the role of Jigger Craigin and everybody in the cast agreed that it was quite s
Need song ideas

Coming to New York next weekend for a workshop and need a musical theatre song idea. I have two classical songs ready to go and one of my musical theatre songs. Just got done performing the role of Beast in Beauty and the Beast so I'm definitely doing "If I Can't Love Her". Can you help me figure out another musical theatre song to bring? The range needs to be for a bass/low baritone. I'm just drawing blanks here.

Thanks,
BB

My short review/observations

Well, finally my annual trip to NY arrived and though it was a quick one, it was a wonderful one. Normally I try to come up for at least a week, but this was a quick trip to see Jai in Rent, Paige in Chicago and Avenue Q. Before I begin, these are just my humble Alabama opinions, so be nice to me.

First on the agenda was Rent. This was my third time to see the show, and this one was the best. I was a bit anxious about Melanie (Mimi), but she did

Stage door tips

Greetings all,

Will be coming to NYC from Alabama next month and will be seeing Rent (Jai's reprising of Angel), Avenue Q, and Chicago. Have been several times before, but have never tried the stage door experience. The main show I'm interested in is Chicago, as one of my all-time crushes is on Paige Davis and she is playing Roxie while I'm in town. I would love any tips or advice on doing the stage door thing so I can meet her and get her autograph. (Also, where exactly is the stage

Good morning all,

This is my first post on this board (I've been a lurker for quite some time). Just wondering what shows/musicals have prominent roles for bass singers? I'm looking for some new music to work on and possible shows that I would like to explore.

Thanks,
BB
