Major props to Rebecca Luker

Had a wonderful experience recently and wanted to share. I am a vocal student at Ars Nova school for the Arts in Huntsville, AL. (Ars Nova has helped produce two incredible singers in Angela Brown and Susanna Phillips). We recently produced a concert version of Carousel and Ms. Luker, having ties to the area, agreed to take the weekend off from Mary Poppins to come down and sing the role of Julie for us. I played the role of Jigger Craigin and everybody in the cast agreed that it was quite special to be able to be onstage with Rebecca. While here, she conducted a master class in addition to performing and having just been cast as Harold Hill in TMM, she worked with me in preparing for that role.

Everything she did exuded class. She was one of the most gracious and wonderful people that I've ever met or worked with.

Thank you Rebecca for a most memorable experience. Please support her in Mary Poppins!!

She is one of the most talented performers Broadway has to offer and is wonderful in everything she does. A true star.

Thanks for sharing! Wonderful story! I just recently saw Mary Poppins, and though was VERY glad to see her as Mrs. Banks, I couldn't help but feeling that she was VERY misused in the show. It's hard to watch her go from STAR in The Sound of Music, to Featured Role. None the less, she was wonderful!

Rebecca has been one of my dearest friends since around 1986. I'd go through hell for her. Thanks for the great story about the concert and the master class!
