Okay, I definately understand all of the opinions expressed on this thread. I feel that certainly people are entitled to dislike Spring Awakening. Here's my personal take:
I visited New York last Spring and did a bit of a broadway run. I saw The Drowsy Chaperone, Spelling Bee, Spring Awakening, and Moon for the Misbegotten. Of these shows, honestly I really enjoyed them all, BUT Spring Awakening left the biggest impression. I am a young person and am drawn to both "rock" musicals a
