Well in all the english movies about the roman empire Marcus Antonius is called Mark Antony so i don't see why using the english form anderson would exclude him being swedish? I also believe that Stellan was typecasted as a swede.
Edit: Obviously if the character indeed is named Bill Anderson then there is a thought behind it. It doesn't really point towards Australia does it? Another thing is that from a moral standpoint a big part of the movie should really have been shot in Aust

Isn't it more likely that one of the fathers will be swedish and have the name Bill Andersson? That would be Stellan Skarsgårds role. Had they chosen Billy they could have had IKEA sponsor the movie.

It's a song suitably called "Dr Frankenstein" written by some swedish blokes for the romanian preselection to the eurovision song contest 2008. The singer is american, La Gaylia Frazier, who have had quite a career in Sweden.
