Opening night is January 10th and Cody and JJ are leaving January 13th, so yes one of them is doing opening night. Also, on January 10th playbillradio.com will be premiering The Little Mermaid original cast recording at 9:00 p.m Eastern Standard time.

No, Trevor and Brian were always suppose to have those performances, they had it for a rehearsal. The Strike delayed the Mermaid's original opening night which was December 6th; because of the sudden strike Cody and JJ's run was cut very short( and I don't mean that by the producers cut it, but the strike cut it).

yes Disney has announced it, as well as Cody and JJ fan pages(s) and think about it... why would Cody and JJ become understudies after already having the part principle?

Brian and Trevor both had a rehearsal performance on December 30th but they do not officially start until January 15th.
