I saw the first preview performance last night. If the house size from last night is any indication, you better get your tickets now if you want to see it. They have a special $22 Tuesdays and a $30 student ticket price for available seats. I wouldn't rely on rush tickets for this one or discounts on Goldstar. The show was in great shape for a first preview. The whole cast is pretty terrific especially Carolyn Cole, Stephen Gregory Smith, James Rodriguez and Erin Driscoll. Nova Payton, however,

I saw Boy Detective on Sunday night and LOVED it! My friend described it best when she said it felt like an indie musical. Like imagine if Royal Tenenbaums was turned into a musical. That's what it felt like. It's certainly off-the-wall and if you're not a fan of quirky then this might be one to skip. The score is terrific and the performances are great as well. I think it's totally worth seeing. I have yet to see The Hollow.

I drove down from Philly with a small group of friends to see this show last night. It really is a tremendous production! My only experience with Chess prior to seeing this incarnation was a bootleg copy of the Actor's Fund concert. One of my friends had the fortune of seeing the original Broadway production and the Papermill production several years ago. He said that this is easily the best production that he's ever seen. My biggest complaint about the show is the book, which is a hot mess. But
