I am currently directing a production of Godspell and was wondering if some of you could help me with this question.

Does anyone know how, in productions of both Godspell and Jesus Christ Superstar, they crucify Jesus? Our Jesus will be crucified on a fence, but I want to avoid having him stand on a box. I was wondering if anyone knew how to safely crucify someone so they essentially hang there. I know of a few ways to do it... for example in JCS the cross simply has
