Secret Life of Bees - Previews

Several posters are referencing a negative "critical consensus," but New York Magazine, The Guardian, Variety, and The Hollywood Reporter have all given very positive reviews. The Jason Green review is the only negative one I've seen.

So, just to be clear, the work of the Tony nominated lyricist for shows like Jelly's Last Jam and Triumph of Love, not to mention great songs like, "Hey Look, No Crying" and "Nobody Ever Tells Me How," from Working, doesn't meet the rigorous standards of the author of the following sentence: "In today's society, they would pop the teenage boy some pills in the form of Prozac and he wouldn't be asking smarty pants questions about his psychiatrist's sex life." Do I have that right?
