I bought a ticket to Hadestown an hour before the show for a pretty good price and also just sold a ticket to Little Shop of Horrors as my schedule changed and couldn't make it (and sold not at a premium...). As others mentioned, the fee is pretty bad but I think it's a pretty solid option.

Moxy Times Square can be as cheap as 149 per night from what I remember and I enjoyed the stay there.

I had my seat changed for 15 dollar fee by calling them. It was for the same show but it may also work for date change.
