just wanted to share my experience:me and my family of 5 headed up to the RRT on tuesday night and got there around 8:45pm. we were aiming for either of the wednesday shows. we didn't have a preference, we just wanted to get in. we got there and we were 5th in line, about 8th for tickets. we camped out overnight and got a room at a hotel nearby, so one or two of us could go up at a time and rest and swap throughout the day. i dont know if this counts as line swapping, but the people around us...

Also, I see stories of people getting here very early the night before for a show the next day, but no one ever talks about the stage door. Say someone gets in line at 10pm, couldn't they stage door for the show that night? I guess that's for another board but still, I find it weird that no one ever mentions it. Do people just not do it or do they just exclude it from their stories? Or is it because it's rude since they didn't watch that show? I get that singles can't give up their spots, but...

Would anyone be so kind as to post a basic checklist of necessities for those of us willing to wait overnight?

"My read of the OP here was not one person holding three places, but that they would keep three people on line at all times, and the two people not on line would swap out with the three people throughout the day, to give breaks, but always keeping three bodies (to buy five tickets) on the line.
