Question for rush tickets

Hi- I am a transfer student. Get a chance to stay in NY for a while during thanksgiving and wanna see a broadway show at that time. The show I want to watch is Chicago.Would there be any chances to get a general rush ticket in line on Nov.25-27th? Will there be too much people? If not, when would be the proper time to get in line? Or should I just get a full price ticket online?Really appreciate for answers.
