Agreed! Agreed! Lippa's is significantly more sophisticated both musically and in the rawness of the story/characters. Anyone can get a name (Mandy and Toni) to boost their show, but few can get the acclaim and talent that Lippa drew. Come on people listen to the score closely. It is intricate and as finely woven as persian silk. It is a crisp, elegant romp into the the seedier side of life. Lippa's is by far the more significant work. LaChiusa is juvenile and underdeveloped. Lippa is my hero.
