Was going to try rushing this on a Thursday night... Should I get there in the morning or is an hour before showtime?

Umm they sell them at 4:30 so get there at 1:30 or earlier.

Are you sure? I've had friends get them for a Saturday night 8pm curtain at 7:15...

They go on sale for evening shows at 4:30, I think.

I got there for a matinee at 10 (when the BO opens) and was 5 people back...they go on sale at 12 (for matinees).

Thank you.

I'm gonna maybe try a Thursday night in the future or a Saturday matinee.

Need to see this, TARZAN and STUFF HAPPENS before the end of April. But already seeing 4 shows this week...

Wedding Singer (again)
Drowsy Chaperone (again)
Show People
Shining City

Should I bother squeezing in Jersey Boys on Saturday?

Yeah, it's a lot of fun.

I sat second row all the way on the left side. I thought I'd be unhappy, but you really get a perfect view...and more action seems to happen on the far right (where there is a staircase).

Andy, the fact that you took the time out to do that really shows what little of a life you have.

A Thursday night shouldn't be that hard. I went on a Tuesday, got in line 1.5 hours before the tickets went on sale, and was first in line. The next people didn't come until an hour later. I don't think a Tuesday crowd would be that much different than a Thursday crowd. I would suggest getting there about an hour before the tickets go onsale.

But it's spring break, it'll be much more crowded than a regular Thursday.

Wow...triple post. Anyway...

1. It's spring break, but most of the people coming to NY probably already have tickets to shows.

2. Do you live close to the theatre? If so, why don't you go periodicaly throught the afternoon and scope it out?

3. If you are worried about spring break crowds, just go to the damn theater and wait. No big deal...it was worth my time and money.

I have no problem waiting. I was just wondering what other people had experienced as the correct time to go.

Yeesh!

I've done the rush twice. Both times on a Friday night. The first time I got there at 2:50 and was third in line. The second time I got there at 2:10 and was sceond in line to girls who had been there since noon. Get there by 2:30 if you want the best of the rush seats. Definitly by 3:15 if you want them at all. Good luck!
