This may seem like old news, but I believe it's the first time they've announced officially that Catered Affair is going to the Walter Kerr.
Walter Kerr books Fierstein's 'Affair'
Chayefsky adaptation bound for Broadway
By GORDON COX, SAM THIELMAN
Broadway-bound tuner "A Catered Affair" has booked the Walter Kerr Theater for its Rialto berth. New musical from scribe-thesp Harvey Fierstein and composer-lyricist John Bucchino begins previews there March 25.
Design team will include David Gallo (sets), Ann Hould-Ward (costumes), Brian MacDevitt (lights), and Dan Moses Schreier (sound).
Based on a Paddy Chayefsky teleplay and the subsequent 1956 feature about a family wedding, "Affair" stars Fierstein, Faith Prince, Tom Wopat, Leslie Kritzer and Matt Cavenaugh. Production, helmed by John Doyle ("Sweeney Todd"), tries out at the Old Globe in San Diego in September before heading for Gotham.
Tuner is produced by Jujamcyn Theaters (owners of the Kerr), Jordan Roth, Harvey Entertainment/Ron Fierstein, Richie Jackson and Daryl Roth. Broadway opening is set for April 17.

"I have also met him in person, and I find him to be quite funny actually. Arrogant and often misinformed, but still funny."

Shocker.
But anyway...
Wow! The Kerr is really filling up with musicals, huh? Before Grey Gardens, I don't think I had every seen one there. Now two in a row!

It had a few musicals when it was known as the Ritz... all terrible, including Soon, Jerome Kern Goes to Hollywood, Late Night Comic, and especially Chu Chem.
