I misinterpreted this on reading the title...

I expected it to be an announcement that part of the show will be Shatner playing WITH a music box, and presumably singing to its mechanical accompaniment.

the fact he is doing autograph and photo opts through vip seating....... this dude gets hundreds of dollars at conventions for his signature/ a photo with him, this is the same reason pee wee herman did not sign/take photos after his show.
