Wow. It's a shame bone marrow surgery is so dangerous. It's a shame this can't immediately be done on a widespread scale, at least not any time soon.

Phyl's post is saying essentially what the reporter is saying.


Even with the truth of the procedure's limitations... there is still PLENTY of room for hope here.

Well, it seems these days no matter what I say pisses someone off. I just don't care anymore.

ANYway, it wasn't meant to be a downer, but perhaps watching the video was a little buzzkill for me. ANY time there's an article about this I think, "OMG, maybe there's hope for Tyler," or "Even though he was a real a-hole both times we dated, I'd love for David to be able to do this."

So whatever. It IS promising and I'm thrilled about that, but I don't particularly think any AIDS-related thread is cause for a party.

Except maybe a ReNt thread.

Any progress is good. Even if this is dangerous, it can lead to safer procedures in the future.
