That is weird because she said the secret album she was working on would be out in March.

Yeah that is what she said when I saw her on Jan 8th. And she sang a song from the new album as well...which was definitely woldhorn-esc

This is posted on her website in a letter from Linda:
"Okay, I know you are all wanting me to tell you about the new album. I'm sorry for the tease, but I still can't talk. I'm sworn to secrecy. All I can say is the same thing that I have been saying. It is a tribute album. I'm excited about it because I love the music and I think I am the right person for it. We have chosen all the material and the arrangements are being completed now. In March, we will record the big band sessions in New York and then in April we will go to London to record the orchestra. I haven't been to London in a while so it will be fun to go back. There are some new people working on this project along with some familiar faces. The release date is planned for September. Until then, well..."

Listening to her singing When I Look At You, so much better without that stupid french accent from the OCR...
wow...that's very cool...but definitely not what she said in Jan at the concert. Maybe she's doing both? :) we can hope but your probably right that its on the one recording. But I'll still hope she is Mina on the Drac recording.

That would be cool if she was, but I don't think so. Someone asked Jeremy(her musical director) about how she recorded a song for the Dracula demo. He said she just did it as a favor to Frank and that she wouldn't be on the recording.
That sucks, surprises me, but still sucks. It's just funny that they both have secret recordings coming out this year!

Yeah that is funny. I really cannot figure out who the tribute is to? Who do you think it is?
I have no idea. She's using a big band and an orchestra. The only people she mentions in her concerts in Judy and Frank. But I doubt its either of them.

Yeah, because they have both had tributes. I'm thinking maybe Barbra Streisand.
Could be...I hope not but could be. Barbara's never had a tribute album to her?
Has wildhorn had a tribute album to him?

I don't think so, but she said it's not a composer.
Wow, it really could be anyone! You know linda loves to sing guys songs, so Iwouldnt be surprised if it was a male singer of somesort.

Yeah that would be cool. I was thinking Barry Manilow, but people said he has had a tribute.
Wow I can't even come up with someone...I'm at such a loss...it really could be ANYONE!

I would love a Linda cd of Judy songs! taht would be amazing!

That one makes sense to me, due to the fact that she said they're doing big band stuff. Not many performers would have that many big band things to cover.
that would be an amazing cd. She always talks about how she looks up to Judy.
