I'll genuinely miss Smash, even with all its inanity.

I watched the last two New Normal episodes today (but admitted I couldn't handle it without multitasking atthe same time,) just out of some bizarre masochism. As others have said, it's gone from a show you could hate-watch to being flat out pretty much boring once it attempted to be less offensive (and still filled with Murphy's bizarre mixed message social issue storylines.)

Meh--I can't see it coming back, and with all the characters essentially loving each other now, I don't see what the writers had planned for next year (I guess a lot of "cute" Three Men and a Baby type nonsense.)

I hope people don't tribute its failure to "too much gay"--but the gay stuff seemed to quickly become such a media non-event, that probably won't be an issue.
