I too love "Comfort & Joy," but "Three Bedroom House" is undoubtedly my favorite song.
Interesting tidbit about when I went to see it: Originally it was just me and my sister going but my entire family ended up going (including my mom and grandma who are known to be taken aback by weird things) and they all adored how outrageous it was.
I still think Bat Boy should be off-Broadway. it's like LITTLE SHOP...but I would love to see it on Broadway (like maybe Circle in The Square), depending on how long the next tenant lasts after THE RIVER!
I always found it amusing that two shows by two people who would eventually collaborate (Laurence O'Keefe and Kevin Murphy cowrote "Heathers") both featured scenes where the naive protagonist is seduced by the god Pan into an orgy that starts his character on a dark downward spiral.
"Reefer Madness" became a hit and a cult movie musical, while "Bat Boy" remained somewhat obscure, or more would probably have been made of the similarity.
