And who could ever forget the disembodied floating head of Baron Laurence Olivier who basically plays the god of the universe.

Olivier was also (live) in another West End play at the time - so technically appearing in two productions simultaneously! (I saw TIME but don't remember much about it - did enjoy it,, mostly for the novelty, I think.)

Saw it; THINK I was bored; remembered the holograph but know I used to endlessly play the cassette-even enquired for a CD as years passed---had forgotten all about it but nice to be reminded.

Never been a fan of the LP, but sounded like a spectacle indeed.

I saw it and was bored. And, I don't remember it being much of a spectacle. It had one "wow" floating set. Otherwise, it was visually rather dull.

The only thing I remember about the LP was that it had a hologram on the cover and there was one song I liked by Freddy Mercury.
I never had any desire to see it.

I saw it in 1988 on a trip to London when I was in college. Saw this, Follies, Phantom and Carrie and Chess! Time was very high tech but oh, so boring. Only Stephanie Larewnce stood out for me. I cant even remember who the lead was then... was it David Cassidy or Cliff Richard?

i saw Time at the Dominion in the West End (1988 I think), It was a charity night for THT the UK AIDS charity. Freddie Mercury came on for 2 numbers and it was in fact his last live performance before he died of AIDS in 1991.
The show was unremarkable and the score is very patchy.

Deena Jones, I took that same London trip. Weird, but those are the exact shows I saw. David Cassidy was the lead when I saw Time.

Wasn't it a Doctor Who musical but had to change a few elements when they lost the rights to the franchise?

I don't believe it was ever an officially sanctioned Doctor Who musical,l but the rip-offing is clear.
