What are the differences between a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.)  and a Bachelor of Applied Arts (B.A.A.) in Musical Theatre?

I am a Canadian student and am thinking about auditioning for some MT programs around North America! Sheridan College, of course, is the best Musical Theatre program in Canada with an acceptance rate around 6.0%, but it offers a B.A.A. I understand that the type of degree you get in Musical Theatre doesn't necessarily matter. B.A., B.F.A., B.A.A., B.M., but I would like to know the differences between them: structure, schedules, class loads, emphasis, etc... Since a B.F.A. is probably the most well-known degree type, I think it would make a good reference point. Some say a B.A.A. is more intense then a B.F.A. Others say "Huh what even is that?" I think it would be beneficial to define the term and the degree!!!

Thanks for all your insights in advanced :)
