Steel Magnolias

Anyone else going to the final performance on July 31? As a true Steel Magnolias fan, I felt it was my duty to see the Broadway production and what better date to go than the last show? I know some people here don't like it, but I love the play and the film version and I am thrilled to see its Broadway bow.

Have you seen it yet? I enjoyed it. I mean, it's not Strindberg, but it was well-cast, IMO. And this isn't coming from a fan of the movie. I *gasp* have never seen the movie.

Seeing Frannie is a reason to go to any show.

I just came from seeing Steel Magnolia's... I heard horrible bad things about Christine Ebersole, and unfortunately some of them were accurate. Frances Sternhagen is genius, and Lily Rabe is adorable. Rebecca wasn't on tonight, but her standby was great.
