Following their internationally acclaimed season of Stephen Sondheim’s Assassins, Warehaus Theatre presents another premiere: the first major Australian production of the Tony® Award winning Broadway musical, Parade.
Set in Georgia, U.S.A., in 1913, Parade is the tragic, true story of Leo Frank, a Jewish man wrongly accused of the murder of 13-year-old Mary Phagan. Already guilty in the eyes of everyone around him, and at the hands of a merciless media, Leo’s fate is sealed. His only defenders are a governor with a conscience, and his devoted wife who finds the strength and love to become his greatest champion.
