Hello. What kinds of dressing rooms are available to performers in Broadway shows? Roomiest... tiniest... well-constructed...have seen better days... How do the artists do it.. when there's (for example) 20 cast members and only a handful of dressing rooms? Just wonderin'... from Roman in Austin, Texas

"Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)

Take a look at some of the backstage clips here and on Broadway.com and you can actually get a peek at the dressing rooms.

Yup- you get a very good glimpse. Most are nothing to gawk at, but I do recall a large flatscreen TV in the Pumba/Timon dressing room at the Lion King. The chorus/ensemble usually get slammed into one or two tiny, one bathroomed spaces though.
