I was wondering the same thing. Not crazy about what he is wearing and having them all showing. That's just me.

Is that for the actual awards show?
I am watching on Pluto for "Act I" and CBS for the main broadcast.
Had to turn off the BWW stream as it just keeps freezing.

Joe Turner's Adding Phone Stickers? Jun 6 2026, 05:09:18 PM
A friend just texted me at intermission and after today's matinee. She was in the center orchestra. Had to shush two people in front of her, to no avail and then someone took a phone call during the second act. I don't know why they didn't do Yondr for this.

Announced But Never Played Jun 2 2026, 06:53:56 PM
I did get to see "Busker Alley" in Denver on the pre-Broadway tour. (It may have been just "Buskers" when it was here but I think Alley may have been added right before its run here.)
"Bare: A Pop Opera never had it's run at Dodger's Stages\New World Stages.
The one woman show that Barbara Cook was to do, Directed by Tommy Tune, at New World Stages never happened

When are you planning to do this?
Denver Center has a decent lineup this coming season. I have always loved seeing shows at the Theater Company. They have 3 theaters and are housed in the same complex as our touring house, opera house and symphony Hall. There are also a few smaller theaters here. Curious Theater is a good one. They are moving into the Cleo Parker Robinson Dance complex while their theater is renovated this coming season.

Exactly. We know, this isn't over.

I agree with BrodyFosse123 and Kad.
If there is an emergency, it is not the time to be on your phone. You need to be paying attention to whatever is happening and directions from theater staff. If half everyone is on their phone checking in with family or posting on social media, that could slow down the process of keeping everyone safe. Outside of an emergency like that, if you need to use your phone they have Yondr staff in the lobbies to unlock your phone for use and lock it bac

Announced replacements that never happened May 28 2026, 01:53:29 PM
Not a replacement but Donna McKechnie never got to go on in "The Visit" since it closed before she could.
She was in attendance the evening I saw it and I walked out with her. (She looped her arm around mine as we walked up the aisle and I thought I was gonna die!). I think she was to do two shows a week as Chita's standby. She said she was a bit nervous but excited. Sadly we never got to see her in the role. I had planned to go back to see her.

Going to Betty’s point: I generally go in with a price range and ask nicely what’s the best they can do; I suppose it obviates the cheap/squeak issue.
For the sake of accuracy, you did not get a "house seat". What you got was a seat in a location that was good enough to b

Sweaty Oracle: The Conspiracy to Buy Broadway? May 27 2026, 02:44:05 PM
It was actually the first video of him I watched all the way through. I watched a short clip of him years ago and couldn't handle that!) I was about to turn it off until I figured out that he was using "Lar" to block profanity. It's what got me through it. When the "Wicked" Cast Recording came out, my then best friend and I were obsessed with it and for the longest would just randomly say "Lar". Unfortunately, I am now fighting off the urge to

Sweaty Oracle: The Conspiracy to Buy Broadway? May 27 2026, 01:14:27 PM
I wouldn't put anything past this administration.
The FCC just gave Nextar, their CEO is a Trump ally, a waiver to own more than double the amount of TV stations allowed by law, which is 39%. They will own approximately 80% with this new merger with Tegna. There is one Democratic member on the FCC.
At this point, I don't think anyone is "safe". Not even Broadway. Just my opinion.

It was the first thing that came to my mind!! I was SO tempted to post a "twist" on that line!
Also, Mickey3309, so very well put.
BrodyFosse123, exactly. That is a big part of this. But respect has seemed to be sliding out the door over the years.
I decided to do some digging on the origins of taking hats off. The word "respect" was mentioned in 99% of what I read and is the reason used when I was taught when to take my hat off as a kid. A lot also referred back to knights and their armor. Here is one site I visited:
