Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 4/19/26
 Apr 21 2026, 04:31:30 PM

It's also end of school year. Proms happening and graduations coming up. Lots of families probably aren't traveling right now for vacations. We used to notice the slump right around this time of year. JMO

It's not getting good reviews elsewhere. Rotten Tomatos has it at 30% so far. I still plan to see it.

I think this has happened before. And I think they have also both been producers on the same shows in the past.

So it looks like the movie is doing the same and covering his life before the allegations became public.

Don't know if it is still in the show, I saw the second preview, but there was a quick "reference" as to what was to come. Can't remember the exact dialogue but something about a kid and his mom waiting for him, I think. A few people around me murmured.

I don't know if it will be an "uptick" vs just a slightly different group of people being in town. In the same way that they might get a slight uptick today from thatTV appearance, and then the grosses

Cats - judges
 Apr 13 2026, 04:33:38 PM

What I got from quizking101's response is that they have reached out to schedule people in advance. So it isn't always depending on who happens to be in the audience at the moment. They may not announce in advance but may know who will be there in advance. Quizking101, correct me if I am wrong on that.

Also, I was wondering who the Judges were on opening night.

Broadway Fire Sale?

It's not just the fares, but it is also the outrageous bag check fees. And you have to, on most airlines it seems, fly above Basic Economy to take a carry on bag and choose your seats.

I flew into Philly last October and it was ridiculous. People were finding ways to get around checking bags. Me and a guy in our boarding group were just shaking our heads at what people were getting onto the plane. The gate attendant flagged very few bags. (WAY less than she should have). B

Airfares are really high. I cancelled my planned trip back there in early June.

The off-Broadway production used Donald Trump in "Only For Now" when I saw it (back during the first term).

P!nk is a worldwide name who has solid millions of albums. STFU about her not being "known" or "HOT TOPIC"."

Selling millions of albums doesn’t make you relevant today. Cynthia had Wicked acclaim. There was a topical draw. I love Pink. Doesn’t meant she’s the kind of person people want to see HOST and she’s not someone people have been actively talking about.

Just bc one do

Leslie manville on audience behavior ..

I always shared that I saw a show, but it was a pic with the marquee behind me or a Pre-show Playbill pic. After that, my phone gets turned off and sometimes doesn't get turned back on until I am exiting the theater. And alcohol or no alcohol, people are going to grab their phones at curtain call.

I have taken curtain call pics at one show in the hundreds that I have seen. That was at King Kong. And they encouraged it from what I remember. The most I see of any pictures I have take

Yeah, my first thought is that there must be some tie-in to something. Would love it if she announces that she is planning to do a show on Broadway.
